Polycystic Ovarian Disease (PCOD) is a disease in which the ovaries produce a large number of immature or partly developed eggs, which develop into cysts. PCOD therapy and a healthy PCOD diet are aimed at reducing the severity of symptoms.

PCOD is characterized by irregular or nonexistent menstrual cycles, painful menstrual periods, abundant facial hair, acne breakouts, pelvic agony, trouble having a baby, and patches of thick, darker, velvety skin.
